What is Project-Based Learning?


In Project-Based Learning teachers use complex, authentic questions to drive instruction. Students work in groups to answer the question and produce something that shows their learning.

What Does PBL Look Like?

Project-based units can be as short as 2-3 weeks or as long as an entire course. This section will introduce you to examples of short and long PBL units and PBL at different grade levels so you can see what how PBL looks across content areas and grade levels.

Ezine- Ezine is a required freshman course at LASA High School in Austin Texas. Students work in groups of 3-4 to produce a print-style magazine on a topic of their choice. Students develop skills in writing, layout design, font design/characteristics, and industry standard publishing software.
